Up and running!

Here I am!

I have finally decided to start a blog.

I know, I know. Everyone's doing it.

My purpose for starting this blog is directly related to my big move to the city.

Hopefully, this will serve as a virtual diary of my limited stay in the Big Apple, and I'll be able to view it at the age of 40 and see how I spent the years of my "prime."

I'm hoping that this will motivate me to take more pictures and go out and do blog-posting-worthy activities since I refuse to blog about the same drinking activities I've been partaking in the past few weeks.

Plus, my friends at home can see what I'm up to (if they are curious.)

How my blog name came to fruition:

When coming up with the name of this blog, 

I was debating between 'Cupcakes in the City' and 'Cocktails in the City.'

The debate: 

Cocktails is more accurate; Cupcakes is cuter and sounds better.

Being my indecisive self, I did what I always do when faced with these "dilemmas."

I turned to my friend only to receive the best response of all: "Cocks in the City."

Sorry, ###. In the name of accuracy and avoiding vulgarity, I decided to go with the above.
