"Spanish" Dinner

I recently came across a quick and easy recipe for Shrimp and Chicken "paella."
This led me to host a little "Spanish" dinner Friday night.
I learned how to devein shrimp.
Dis-gus-ting.
You rip the legs off to more easily peel off the shell. Gross.
Then you pull out what I'm guessing to be their spine or string of shrimp poop. Even more gross.
I've considered going vegan (while cooking) so many times now.
Having only tasted shrimp once in my life (I know, I'm weird) it was quite the risk to make the main entree- a shrimp based one.

I had no idea shrimp changes colors!
Coooooooooollll!!!!

Some BOMB fruit sangria, chicken stuffed bell peppers and fresh tomato-corn bruschetta.

*Please note: the use of quotes in this post is only an indicator of the lack of authencity in my cooking. Let's be real now.

SUCCESS!!!

Thank you to my guests for Strawberry cheesecake, wine and the potted plant (that I happened to request :P )
