Got a lot of heavy reading done this month.
When I say heavy, I mean it literally.
Takes a toll on your shoulder lugging around 700+ page novels on your daily commute.
Such a great read! Truly another timeless piece of work.
I've already purchased the biography of Ayn Rand.
I don't think I'll be able to fully comprehend or appreciate, not just the ideology she's trying to disseminate, but the essence of what the novel has to offer till I've done so.
Upon roomie's recommendation of this year's Pulitzer prize winning novel, I attempted to read this:
So boring. I don't know. It just failed to capture my interest. I hardly ever not finish a book. Strange.
Another great (emotional) read!
I just fell in love with this author in high school after reading She's Come Undone.
Something about the way he is able to intertwine the lives of his characters and reveal what seems like the typical tried and true themes of the nitty gritty complications of life, yet portrayed in the most touching way.
(Plus it's Oprah endorsed too! hehe)
