Beets n' Eats!

After almost two years, reunion with Crystal!
I don't know how I would survive in the humid hole of the earth that is Singapore.

Dinner @ Bobo courtesy of roomie

First time trying BEETS!
Certainly not as bad as I had imagined, although they could use a bit more crunch for my taste.
Huge huge year for me in terms of trying new food.
Last month I tried oysters for the first time-meh.
-not so cleverly described by Angela as "a taste of the ocean"
Far from the adjectives that would normally entice me to think "this might be tasty!"
Especially considering the fact that the ocean to me is Huntington Beach. Nuh-uh.
Succumbed to peer pressure, nonetheless.

*New York +: outdoor eating

THEN, family was in town for FAME
including the newly-turned-21-year-old brother
who happens to be helping out as an "intern"

I really wanted to show him a good time. Ordered him a redbull vodka...And well, the rest is history.
Oh man....GOOD times.
(Mind you, he cannot drink AT ALL-think one shot wonder)
I don't know if this makes me a good sister or a bad sister.

He was quite apprehensive about going clubbing with me but after one drink leading to an attitude change, I was compelled to upgrade to 2nd round-Circle.

(Chaos followed)

YAYYY! Julie comes too!

And in the midst of my family visit, Daisha's last weekend.

Going away party thrown by Julie.
Delectable dessert and drinks!

This picture...Speaks VOLUME

SAD, SAD SAD!
Last night with Daish-who is currently tanning away in Hawaii!

Last night with Julie-

See you in a month dear!

I can't quite pinpoint what it is about living out here but never a dull moment.
There's always somebody coming, going, visiting.
That being said, NY, you exhaust me!

Or maybe it's me.

People have commented that I do a lot, that I'm a "do-er" but I don't completely agree and this is why.
In LA, I spend a lot of family time.
Out here, I take that out of the equation and I have so much more free time.
So even though I'm doing all these things, there's many a time I just run errands around the city by myself or go to the bookstore and just relax with coffee but I guess it doesn't appear that way.
No brunches with the parents after golfing.
No meeting up with cousins.
No visiting grandparents.
No shopping with Mom and Sis.
The little things like going grocery shopping with them.
Misss..

My first month in LA will be spent at my parents'-watching Krn dramas with my dad in his massage chair and walking Doorie with Mom in the morning. That's it. Maybe 2 months. We'll see.
