The Capitol

Couple weekends ago, I went to D.C. to meet up Ang who was there for a client the preceding week. Can I just say that I LOVE these $48 round trip-weekend getaway- bus options? What a deal!!! Plus being the travel/discount saavy people that we are, we were able to stay at the Hilton for a ridiculously great price.
We headed straight to Georgetown area- very WASPy...
My amazing navigator
Miss my Iphone!!! BB does not have these capabilities! Even with Googlemaps!

Next day we did some sightseeing and A LOT of walking.
I've actually been to DC, back in Jr High where we went to ALL the museums, so we were only interested in visiting the Espionage Museum. At $20 admission fee, we decided to pass. Not THAT interested.
Got some amazing photos though
*Note that 1/3 from the bottom, the color changes. They supposedly ran out of marble. How interesting!

Haha, left with no choice but to take those solo pics of one another that couples do on their honeymoon.More great photos that I took.

No?
Does this not evoke some sense of patriotic duty?!

Another one of my favorites
I guess I'm not so modest.

Rapunzel, Rapunzel- let down your hair

"Chinatown"

Found the architecture and lighting of the DC subway stations absolutely gorgeous.

Love to find works of art in the most unlikely of places

Back to Georgetown area

Cuteness in the form of a pink bicycle

Waterfront
where we indulged in some amazing Maryland crab dishes

The next night we met up with Mig and proceeded to eat the biggest pizza slice I have ever come across in my life- encompassing more than two paper plates. Wow.

Carrot cake + cocktails=remedy to a slight hangover from the night before

So great to catch up with Whitney-ites four years later and see what everyone is up to.

Brunch with Gary & Mig in Dupont Circle.

I'm beginning to realize the older I get, the smaller the world becomes.
